Helping You Feel Better

Building Relationships

You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life, whether it be in the ring, on the trail, or a better bond with your horse. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your horse's health, long-term.

Building Relationships

Communication is key. I need to know what you and your horse are feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.

Post-Event Massage

A Post-event massage is used after an event in order to help the muscles cool down and relax to prevent lactic acid buildup as well as to prevent coming up stiff and lame after the event. This allows the body to relax and release tension and stress.   Massage oil and/or liniment gel can be used if requested.

Equine kinesiology tape affects the body completely different from that of non-elastic athletic tape and can often times be confusing. The effect of kinesio tape is based on its ability to interact with the skin and associated neurosensory and mechanoreceptors. Unlike traditional methods of taping, elastic kinesio tape does not compress the tissue-it decompresses the tissue allowing for increased circulation. Kinesio tape facilitates movement by recoiling muscles and supporting joints. It is also helpful to facilitate lymph drainage of hematomas or swollen joints. Kinesio taping is also very useful in supporting previously injured tendons/ligaments/muscles when the horse is coming back into work.

Kinesio taping can be used during exercise, under saddle or at rest and can stay on up to 4 days.
